Mark Twain once said he could live for two weeks on a compliment.

That’s how I feel about coaching and teaching. That magic “A-Ha!” moment is what I live for. You hear it in their voice or see it in their eyes, when everything they have been fearing vanishes, and all that they have been dreaming about suddenly becomes possible.

That every day could be like this!

It’s a good reminder that this is why I do what I do…

  • To make a difference in other’s lives
  • To encourage others to live their dreams
  • To help awake the power we all possess within us to change our lives

Today’s coaching session was just that and more. I have walked much of the same road this client has. But a parallel history isn’t necessary, merely empathy and a belief in another person’s abilities in the moments when they themselves question them.

“It’s all coming together, it’s all falling into place.” The words are still running through my head as I think that yes, this is what it is all about. This is why I do what I do. And this is why there is nothing quite like coaching.
